"Bad" Books of the Bible: The Soundtrack
The songs from our podcast have found a home on Spotify, Apple Music, and more
Hey everyone, I’m thrilled to share something special I’ve been working on for the “Bad” Books of the Bible podcast. Each season of our podcast, which dives deep into the often-overlooked texts of Scripture, now comes with its own unique sound to capture the vibe and essence of the books we cover.
These original tracks are composed by the talented MPWalker (Michael Walker), my longtime partner in the positive hip-hop group Royal Ruckus, with whom I’ve collaborated for decades. So far, we’ve created songs for the seasons on Tobit, 1 Maccabees, Wisdom of Solomon, and Wisdom of Sirach, each reflecting the distinct content and spirit of these texts. Released online over the summer, these songs are ready for you to experience alongside our podcast discussions.

Wrapping Up with a Soundtrack for the Soul
I hope these songs resonate with you as much as they do with us, and allow you to enjoy your journey through the “Bad” Books of the Bible in a different way. We’re excited to continue this creative endeavor with future seasons, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on the music and the podcast episodes.
Check out these tracks online, share them with friends, add them to a playlist, and let us know which vibe speaks to you the most. We’re aiming for quality in presentation, and aim to blend good theology, insights on history, and quality musical artistry.
P.S. Don’t Miss This Track on Forgiveness
Before you go, I’ve got one more musical gem to share. Be sure to check out “Wonder Why” by Royal Ruckus, my group, featuring two legends of Christian rap—Soup the Chemist (S.F.C. - Soldiers for Christ) and Fred Lynch (P.I.D. - Preachas in Disguise), and produced by DJ Sean P, a regular musical collaborator of mine.
This recently released track is a powerful meditation on forgiveness, inspired by the thoughts of Mr. Rogers on the subject. It’s a heartfelt piece that we hope will inspire and uplift you, so give it a listen, too:
